I sent my 1970 Roadrunner
to APR Bodyworks for body work and a full re-paint. Ashley put time and effort into the
project to make sure we ended up as close as possible to what I wanted to achieve with
the car and any changes that he made were for the better. The finish on the car speaks
for itself and I am in no doubt that this and the continual updates of progress made it
a pleasure to work with APR Bodyworks. |

We have
had our 1967 Dodge Coronet painted by APR bodyworks. This was a highly important job as
the car was to be part of our wedding day. When it comes to car’s any enthusiast would
know the importance of a good paint job,we had a look round at colours and paint shops.
We decided to give the task to Ashley, we were both incredibly impressed by his skill
and attention to detail. We had a constant update with it progress receiving regular
emails and pictures. To our delight the car looked fantastic, we are more than pleased
and it looked truly stunning on our wedding day. A job definatly well done, we would
not hesitate in recommending his work.
Thank-You

I have
been friends with Ash for quite some time and have got to know him well. When he set up
his new business APR Bodyworks, I knew without any hesitation that I wanted him to do
the paint work to my 1969 Dodge Charger. I think the photos speak for themselves, and I
have been highly delighted with the finish. Ash knows his stuff and I would not
hesitate in recommending him to anyone.

Because of my busy work load
and the fast approaching racing season, I decided to entrust the initial preparation
work on my Plymouth Satellite (Superbird Clone), race car to Ash of APR Bodyworks. The
job was turned around in a fast time. Ash carried out all the work that I required
doing to my exact expectations. As you can see by the photos, the car was prepared up
to the primer stage, which I then wanted to finish with my-self and my brother Scott.
All in all APR Bodyworks offer a very good service with a high quality of workmanship
that I would expect from a quality body shop.

Following a "slight accident" my Dodge Coronet was in need of
extensive repairs which was entrusted to APR Bodyworks.
Having been sent regular photo's showing the progress
of the work it was finally ready for collection.
Now how do I sum this up? Everything about the work
carried out by Ashley is excellent! Every last detail from the fitting of the new
panels down to the colour match is perfect,I could not have asked for a better job,
I can not recommend the work highly enough, I know Ashley to be a perfectionist but
that has to be an understatement after seeing the quality of the repairs to my car,
thanks for a fantastic job Ash!

I sent my 1968 Dodge Charger R/T to APR Bodyworks for
restorative bodywork and a complete re-paint from dark purple to the original red.
What a result!! I do not believe that anyone could have done a better job of either
the bodywork or the paint work.
As mentioned in the other testimonials Ash kept in contact all of the way through
the job, keeping me updated and making sure that we made the right decisions from
start to finish..
What a brilliant job! I would definitely recommend APR Bodyworks..
Thanks Ash!

I sent my 69 GTX to APR for full renovation, and boy
was it full, Ash didn't leave a stone unturned in pursuit of perfection, leaving the
body laser straight and rust free.
His recommendation on choice of colour (returning the exterior to the original W1
with the interior being finished in a beautiful deep red) and quality of paint
finish are truly superb. My only slight complaint is that the Mrs is now insisting
that I buy her an outfit to match in interior...
Working with Ash has been a real pleasure, and im sure both Claire and I will be
staying in touch and hopefully starting another project with APR soon.
Cheers

Having previously done the engine bay, my 68 charger
was returned to APR Bodyworks for a full bare metal repaint. Ashleys work really
impressed me, from planning, ability, and updates, he has done an absolutely thorough,
professional job. The photos show the work involved, but when you see it in person, the
quality is exceptional. I would fully recommend APR Bodyworks to anyone looking for a
restoration company. Many, many thanks Ash,
Fantastic job mate!

It took me a long time to choose who I would want to
work on my car as it's not something I am used to and I am fussy so and so. I chose Ash
after a lot of running around seeing other body shops, restores ,etc none of which I
felt confident with, then after talking to Ash and seeing the work he had done on
previous cars he had worked on I thought here is someone who know what he is talking
about and knows the cars he works on well also.
I was not disappointed he told me what he was going to do, kept me informed of the
progress and any unforeseen problems and even put up with me umming and arrring over
the paint colour and shade....
Then when I went to see the car it surpassed what I was expecting, straight as an
arrow, great gaps and a love deep smooth shiny paint,
As a job I Audit new vehicles for a major manufacture and what Ash has done puts the
finish on them to shame..... He's not a bad old boy also
I would defiantly recommend him and use APR Body works for any future work,
fantastic job Ash |

Ever since I saw the
results of his work on his own car, I've wanted Ash to turn his skills to my car. It
was a good 20/20 car (looks great at 20 mph from 20 feet). It had one-or-two small rust
issues. Well, it also had a a fair amount of filler and the accumulation of 47 years of
rot behind it; so the scope of the project continually widened.
The car was totally stripped out, all the rot went into a
big pile that was larger than my first car. All replaced or refurbed with fresh and
shiny steel for a solid starting point. The rest is further testimony to Ash’s high
level of skill, craftsmanship and commitment. Lots of very detailed commitment
too.
And it didn’t stop there, by the time the car was ready
for collection, Ash had gone beyond, fitting a new dash, half shafts, a brake refurb
etc.
The result leaves me a bit bedazzled. I think the
military check the straightness of their lasers against Ash’s bodywork. My car looks
fantastic and I’m delighted with Ash’s outstanding work.

Because this car was the
prototype and built for the track, it didn't really need any excuses for having some
'character' in the bodywork. A little wavy, wobbly, misaligned, lumpy; it was all there
to the trained eye. Not to mention panels from different original moulds, and it's
getting on for 30 years old too. As I've owned the car for 25 years, it's a bit special
to me.
I had been pondering something like this colour for some
time, but for me it wasn't until I saw what Ash had done that I realised that no
corners could be cut in the preparation, and that the bodywork had to be perfection for
the colour to work. I was happy for some of that 'character' to be retained, but there
was no way Ash was going to not do anything short of excellence. Paint that looks like
liquid has to flow smoothly through the contours, not bob along the bumps.
For me, the result is staggering, I'm very happy with it.
Thanks Ash.

Apr Bodywork first
came to my attention whilst looking at YancsYorks on facebook, there were
numerous posts praising their standard of workmanship and service.
After checking the website I contacted Ash, who responded promptly with a visit
and quote to repaint my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 hood, wings etc. After
listening to his advise and comments, I agreed to a full repaint of my
truck. Well what can I say, Ash has done a brilliant job in
bringing my truck up to showroom standard, if you saw it you would think
it was brand new. He has also done a great job on my badly pitted
22” chrome wheels, painting them gloss black, which really suits the colour
scheme of my truck. Ash kept me up to date with
progress/pictures whilst it was in his possession and I would thoroughly
recommend his work to any American car enthusiast who wants a top notch
job on their pride and joy. Thanks again for great job

After having a poor respray on my Corvette a few years ago by a `professional' painter i thought the
time had come for me to have it sprayed by someone who knew what they were doing. I visited a few local
bodywork shops in my area only to be met with various excuses as to why they couldn`t spray my car.
Then i was recommended to contact Ash of APR Bodyworks by a member of my local branch of the CCCUK. I
phoned Ash and after several conversations i arranged to drive my car down to his address in Hull and
over the following weeks Ash kept in touch with emails and pictures of the cars progress. I then paid
another visit to his shop to see that great progress had been made, noting that all nessesary parts had
been removed, ie door cards, chrome bumpers and badges etc to ensure clean paint lines. I couldn`t
believe the finish of the paint and it hadn`t even been polished, the difference was amazing, the
bodywork was straight with no ripples as some fibreglass cars are,not a sign of the slightest orange
peel effect, the panels were as straight as steel and the gaps were perfect. A truly incredible
difference to the previous paintjob. I can`t thank or recommend Ash highly enough for a truly
professional job from start to finish, he certainly knows what he`s talking about when it comes
spraying and bodywork. I can now proudly drive my car to shows knowing i have a car with paintwork
second to none. If you`re looking for a person who is commited to his work and your satisfaction APR
Bodyworks have my personal highest recommendation.

As a fellow Duster owner, Ash was more than helpful with getting my ’71 Duster back to its former
glory. Originally intended to be a simple respray, ash pointed out that the amount of hidden damage
would come back to bite me later, a full bare metal restoration of the body was the best course of
action. Ash kept me updated throughout the project and was kind enough to help out on several other
areas of the car that needed work done. The final result is superb, every last bit of rust and rot was
removed, all panels straightened and the gloss black paint looks better than I could have imagined.
Would highly recommend ash to anyone looking to get their Mopar, or any American car sorted." |
